In a nutshell: soon-to-be Oberlin grad, archaeology wonk, sexual health educator, and aspiring nurse. Generally found volunteering at an abortion clinic, meditating, ranting about gender, or trying to finish my thesis. Feel free to ask me anything.

As Catholics, we help people not because they’re Catholic, but because were Catholic.
Archbishop Thomas Wenski, on the recent law requiring every employer (religious or not) to include contraception in their health care plans. (via nique)
This is great and all, but if you actually read the interview it’s pretty obvious that he’s opposed to contraception coverage. (The very next thing he says is “And so our schools, our universities, our Catholic charities, organizations, our hospitals admit people regardless of their faith. What the government is saying to us is that then, we’re going to have to operate hospitals for Catholics only.”) Here’s an article where he makes his views even clearer: “Archbishop Wenski deplores contraceptive mandate by feds”
Just a heads-up for all the pro-coverage people who are reblogging this with the tag “yes good”… this man is not saying what you think he’s saying.
