In a nutshell: soon-to-be Oberlin grad, archaeology wonk, sexual health educator, and aspiring nurse. Generally found volunteering at an abortion clinic, meditating, ranting about gender, or trying to finish my thesis. Feel free to ask me anything.
I've used this Tumblr for a few things in the past, but right now it's a trove of interesting things, with varying degrees of quality and original content. I'm also responsible for Transcending Anatomy.

“Girl Scouts is an inclusive organization and we accept all girls in kindergarten through 12th grade as members,” the statement says. “If a child identifies as a girl and the child’s family presents her as a girl, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her as a Girl Scout.”
This warms my heart like nothing else. I was a Girl Scout for eleven years — I left voluntarily when I started to transition — and don’t tell the right-wing haters, but it was one of the first places where I was really encouraged to explore gender. Some of the counselors I had at Girl Scout camp were my earliest queer role models, and that was where I learned that there were many, many acceptable ways to be FAAB (I wouldn’t be surprised if I heard that some of the staff were trans and not yet out). With all the political pressure that’s put on Girl Scouts as an organization, it’s amazing to see them continue to live up to their mission by welcoming all girls.
